🍻 Craft Brews 🍻

This is the start of special feature in our blog🍻.  As we’ve travelled around the country using the National Parks to guide our destinations, we’ve found an (at least) equally enjoyable pastime to be sampling craft beers at local breweries.  From time to time, we will update this page with the latest “special find”.  It won’t include all the places we check out nor list all the various brews.  Only the really special ones, those that we would have shipped to us at home because they were that good!

The most recent update will always be listed first so no need to review the entire list each time you check back.  However, if your travel plans include a stop in one of these places, be sure to check back here for our view of the very best they have to offer.

Each beer appearing in this list will be awarded from one (🍺) to five (🍺🍺🍺🍺🍺) pints, depending upon our tastebuds.  Five is as good as it gets!

June 1, 2017 – Moab, Utah – 🍺🍺🍺🍺 Dead Horse Amber Ale brewed by Moab Brewery in Moab, UT.  This beer is a traditional English mild ale with a well-balanced malt-to-hop ratio.  This one is worth coming back for again and again.

May 29, 2017 – Montrose, CO – 🍺🍺🍺 Fat Tire Ale brewed by New Belgium Brewing Company in Fort Collins, Colorado.  This Belgian-style ale contains English floral hops, subtle malt sweetness and spicy, fruity notes from Belgian yeast create a balanced yet magical combination.

May 5, 2017 – Downtown San Diego – 🍺🍺🍺🍺🍺 Cali Creamin’ Vanilla Cream Ale, brewed by Mother Earth Brew Co.  located in Vista, CA.  This brew is golden to pale in color, medium body, low bitterness and a thick white head.  Ahhh….so good!
