The four of us agreed last night that we would shift from the dry camping at Las Vegas Bay campground to the full hook-up camping available about ten miles down Lakeshore Road at Lake Mead RV Village campground. Siobhan and I had been dry camping for three nights now and that was about our limit with water and house battery capacity.
So, after breakfast we loaded everything up and headed on down the road. We scored lake-view camp sites at this next place and that was great. Check out the Lake Mead views….tough to beat.
We spent some time doing morning chores (laundry, booking campsites for the next destinations, etc), then we all piled into the Jeep to go to the neighboring marina to rent a boat for the afternoon. RT and Linder had been boating here before so they knew where to find the best swimming spots. What a beautiful area and a great afternoon. Oh, and maybe you can ask RT about the guy in the other boat that decided to race us on our way back to the marina…interesting.
Back to the RVs, happy hour, dinner on the grill, watch the sunset and get ready for tomorrow’s adventure…not a bad way to spend the day!
