The Bright Side

We received many comments from you guys about our laundromat post and not all of them via WordPress either.  Seems that many of you had a hard time believing I even knew what one was.  Well, since we’ve been spending more time in the laundromat lately, I got to thinking…

Just as with everything in life, it’s all a matter of perspective.  At our most recent visit, we observed how we can do all of our laundry at one time.  Since there are so many machines available, the total amount of time required to complete this chore is substantially less than when doing laundry at home.

An even more appreciated advantage in the laundromat, though, are the folding tables.  They are the perfect height to get that task done.  No strain on the lower back as when bending over the bed to do this stuff at home.  Lots of room to fold and stack.  Really efficient!

Ok, maybe we just spent too much time in Red Bay.  Or, maybe, we need more excitement on our trip?

Just thought we would share…

    Suggestion Box:

Sometimes I’m not sure if I’m reading the elegant prose of Kevin or Siobhan. This often deprives me of comic opportunity (‘tho my kids are constantly telling me I’m NOT funny). Just an example, Kevin might be inclined not to like the folding tables in the laundromat because they have no embedded tape measure, whereas Siobhan may be satisfied with just the usual level of precision in folding warm clothes. Okay, maybe not “Gold, Jerry” but you get the point.

Good and bad of laundromats – yes more efficient, but hauling the dirty clothes to the car, then from the car to the laundromat and yea don’t forget the cleaning supplies and for sure – don’t forget ALL those quarters that are needed!! Definitely enjoy your story telling!

Do not wish for excitement. There will be plenty more to come on this trip. Mother Nature has a way of reminding us who is in charge. Don’t forget the excitement you had “off the grid” with the lightning storms. Just enjoy the tranquility when you can because the fun thing about what you are doing is that we love the posts. It makes us feel like we are right there with you 😃👍 Keep them coming.
